They're here! Lily and Käpt'n's puppies have been born!…

We are 2/3 of the way through gestation. Still 3 weeks to go until delivery. The puppies have grown considerably again. Last week they were around 3 centimeters. Now they are about 4.5 centimeters and they weigh about 6 grams. The kidneys are now working. As a result, the eyes are now closed. The ear is shaped and even the nose is finished! From birth, smell will be the most important sense for puppies. They are born with their eyes and ear canals closed. They find their mother and brothers and sisters by smell. Skin color, hair, nails and eyelids can be distinguished.
