Three quarters on our way. Still 2 weeks to go until delivery. The puppies continue to grow steadily. The skeleton will now strengthen, this process will continue over the coming months. Last Wednesday (day 45) we felt the puppies move for the first time! Quite early! The puppies are very active. Thursday (day 46) I also saw movement for the first time! There is not much to report about the development of the puppies, they are just growing. So there is no video this week.

The observant visitor may have already seen it: the link to the puppy cam is online. This way I can test the connection and make some adjustments. Our living room is slowly being turned into a nursery. The whelping box is in our living room. This way we can keep a close eye on everything and the puppies get all the smells and sounds from the start of their lives. To be able to watch the webcam during the birth and after that, you can register here. If we don’t know each other or have never spoken before, please write a short introduction in the comments field.

Lily still sleeps a lot, she can’t be bothered by anything. Even outside, she would prefer to go straight back inside, that is not like her at all. She hasn’t been jumping on the couch herself for a few days now. Normally this is no problem for her, but now she would rather be picked up. When she sits, her belly touches the ground and she also sits a bit strange with her legs apart, it looks very funny.

Lily was also measured and weighed again this week:

WeightWaist circumference
Day 110 kg38 cm
Day 710,1 kg38 cm
Day 1410 kg39 cm
Day 2110,1 kg40,5 cm
Day 2810 kg40,5 cm
Day 3510,4 kg42 cm
Day 4211,1 kg47 cm
Day 4911,6 kg50 cm

There is some weight added, about 500 grams. Total weight gain is 1,6 kilogram at this point. She also grows steadily in centimeters.

Her body is really getting out of proportion now. A fat body on little legs with a small head on top. It looks very funny!
