The first progesterone test

Because Lucy already shows some willing behaviour we went to draw some blood for a progesterone test today. We are close to the weekend and of course we don’t want to miss the right moment!

With Yara we went for her first test on day 7. The result was very low still, 0,2.

Lucy decided to do things differently. Today is the 5th day in her heat and the progesterone result was 1,3.
This result means that she is not ready to be bred yet. When the progesterone rises above 5 we will go towards ovulation.

On Monday we will test Lucy again, exciting!
